And so I travelled far and wide, over hills and the River Clyde

I slipped on the heather in search of a blether

With a chatty haggis and the monster Nessie

I saw a few castles, their splendour aplenty

A piper, a burn, and stags, there were many

I searched high and low, in wind, rain, and snow

Through Inverness, Lothians and Island Shores

I’d never met Haggis or Nessie before

But ’twas not to be, and so I went home

To Rainbow Dale, I was pleased not forlorn

Perhaps next time with my raincoat adorned

I’ll get to meet the Scottish Unicorn

Miss Cauliflower and Carmello grow their cauliflowers and onions in Rainbow Dale’s Moonguide Garden for us to eat. This is their recipe for Cosy Cauliflower Soup.

Slice then soften 2 of Carmelo’s onions in a pan on low heat (use water, butter or olive oil)

Chop 1 of Miss Cauliflower’s tasty cauliflowers and add to the pan with some stock.

Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Add the remaining stock, cover, and cook for a further 15-20 minutes.

Blend until smooth.

Season to taste then let the soup rest for a few minutes to thicken.

Ladle into bowls (add a drop of milk or cream, if enjoyed) and serve with bread.

Venus, Victor and Sue grow their strawberries and blueberries in Moonguide Garden for all of Rainbow Dale to enjoy. Everyone in Rainbow Dale likes strawberry and blueberry smoothies. They are very healthy drinks and help keep everyone’s rainbow bright.
This is how to make them.

Pour some milk into a blender

Add some of Venus and Victor’s strawberries along with some of Sue’s blueberries and blend together

The fruit will thicken the milk, add additional fruit if you prefer a thicker smoothie

If you like cinnamon add a pinch for extra flavour

Blend, then pour into your favourite glass and enjoy! 😊
